Greg Smith is also the President and a director of Equinox Gold. He was President of Trek Mining until it merged to form Equinox Gold in December 2017 and was the CEO of JDL Gold until it merged with Luna Gold in March 2017 to form Trek Mining. Prior to his role with JDL Gold, he held the roles of CEO and founder of Anthem United, President and CEO of Esperanza Resources prior to its sale to Alamos Gold, and CFO of Minefinders Corporation prior to its sale to Pan American Silver. Previously Mr. Smith has held management positions at both Goldcorp and the mining division of KPMG LLP, and he also acted as a director of Premier Royalty prior to its sale to Sandstorm Gold. Currently he is a director and the Audit Committee Chair of both Chesapeake Gold and Royalty North Partners. Mr. Smith is a Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant and was the recipient of the 2013 CA Early Achievement Award and the 2014 Business in Vancouver Top 40 under 40.

Kylie Dickson was the VP Business Development of Trek Mining until it merged to form Equinox Gold in December 2017, and was the Chief Financial Officer of JDL Gold until it merged with Luna Gold in March 2017 to form Trek Mining. Prior to her role with JDL she was a founding shareholder and CFO of Anthem United, and was the CFO of Esperanza Resources prior to its sale to Alamos Gold in 2013. Kylie was previously the Corporate Controller of Minefinders Corporation from 2007 until 2012, and prior to that was an Audit Manager with the mining group at KPMG LLP. Kylie is a Canadian Chartered Accountant and received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Simon Fraser University. She is currently a director for Fortuna Silver Mines and in 2018 was a recipient of the Business in Vancouver Top 40 under 40 award.

Susan Toews is also General Counsel & Corporate Secretary of Equinox Gold. Susan previously worked at New Gold Inc. for almost 10 years as Vice President Legal Affairs, Corporate Secretary and as a consultant providing project support. Before her years at New Gold, Susan was Corporate Secretary for Peak Gold Ltd., which merged with New Gold in 2008, and was General Counsel for EGX Canada Inc., an emerging stock exchange for real estate related securities. Susan spent six years at the British Columbia Securities Commission as Senior Legal Counsel where she was involved in developing local and national rules with a focus on corporate governance practices and disclosure. Susan has over 20 years of legal and business experience in a combination of in-house, regulatory and private practice roles as well as knowledge of mining in Canada, the United States, Mexico, Brazil, Australia and Chile. As General Counsel for Equinox Gold, she is responsible for day-to-day legal advice and providing legal support for all areas, including commercial negotiations, dispute resolution and legal and regulatory compliance. She has been a member of the Law Society of British Columbia since 1994 and holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and a Bachelor of Laws.

Jorge Fierro has been VP Exploration for Solaris Copper’s portfolio of assets since 2015 when he joined the predecessor company, Lowell Copper. Before joining Lowell Copper, Jorge spent six years as CIC Resources’ General Manager for South America, and two years as Rio Tinto’s Mining & Exploration Country Manager for Peru. Previously, Jorge spent ten years with BHP Billiton in a variety of positions including Northern Andes and Peru Exploration Manager, Chief Mine Geologist for the Tintaya copper mine, and as part of the team that discovered the world-class Antapaccay porphyry copper mine in Southern Peru. Jorge is a professional geologist with a BSc in Geology from Escuela Politécnica Nacional de Quito in Ecuador and an MSc and DIC (Mineral Exploration) from the Royal School of Mines, Imperial College, University of London.

J. David Lowell is one of the world’s most successful and honoured exploration geologists with a career spanning more than 50 years. David has been involved in the discovery of more than 16 major mineral deposits and participated in the development of seven large mines including Escondida, Toromocho, Pierina, Kalamazoo and Zaldivar. He has published more than 50 articles, one of which, co-authored with John Guilbert, defines the Lowell-Guilbert Porphyry Copper Model. David has received more than 30 professional awards including induction into the American Mining Hall of Fame and the National Academy of Engineering.
